Abstract

A fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM) system, that utilizes a new compact and low-cost ultrafast laser source, is discussed. It is based on a gain-switched laser diode-seeded all-solid-state Cr:LiSAF regenerative amplifier. By using a gated optical intensifier, the pulse parameters of the source are shown to be appropriate to time-domain FLIM. The organic light emitting diodes are also evaluated using FLIM system.
