Abstract

Cathodic protection of pipeline systems having very high conductance dispersion is problematic in so far as the distribution of the current density and the interference of unbonded buried structures are concerned. A case history is reported concerning a geothermal water system; the problems encountered in designing a new cathodic protection system, in particular those concerning large buried tanks with limited space between them, are discussed.
